A safe, structured introduction to gym training for young teenagers.
At Jenkins Gym, we don't simply give a 13-year-old gym access and expect them to work everything out for themselves.
Our Youth Membership has been designed to give 13–15-year-olds a structured introduction to gym training, including correct equipment use, safe exercise technique and sensible training habits.
Youth Members can also take part in all Jenkins Gym Group Fitness classes and Top Ride classes, giving them plenty of variety alongside their gym training.
Before joining, the young person and their parent or guardian first attend a Youth Gym Visit together. We'll show you around, explain the programme and answer your questions.
After joining, every Youth Member must complete two compulsory Total Body Workout Program appointments with our team. Only once both appointments have been completed and a staff member has signed them off may they train independently during staffed hours.
Choose weekly payments or pay the 26-week minimum term upfront.
Before joining: a parent or guardian and the teenager must attend a Youth Gym Visit together.
We've created a clear pathway from the first visit through to independent gym training.
Parent/guardian and teenager come in together to meet us, see the gym and learn how the programme works.
The parent/guardian and Youth Member review and sign our Youth Membership Rules, Parent Consent & Induction form.
Introduction to the Total Body Workout Program, equipment setup and safe exercise technique.
We review the Total Body Workout Program again, checking technique, confidence and safe equipment use.
Once approved, they may train independently during Jenkins Gym staffed hours.
Our aim is to help young people learn good training habits, build confidence and enjoy being active.
Youth Members are shown how to set up and use gym equipment correctly and safely.
Independent gym training is not approved until both Total Body Workout Program appointments have been completed.
Independent gym-floor training for members aged 13–15 is limited to Jenkins Gym's published staffed hours.
Youth Membership includes all Jenkins Gym Group Fitness and Top Ride classes at no additional cost.
We have a formal Youth Membership Rules, Parent Consent & Induction form which the young person and their parent or guardian read and sign.
The form also records both compulsory Total Body Workout Program appointments and the final staff approval before independent gym access is activated.
